With the last full model change, the 2023 BMW 530e-Series was sporty in its design. It will likely be sportier with the next. The standard features such as a low front overhang, long bonnet, set-back passenger cells, straight beltlines, and the Hofmeister Kink should be preserved by designers.

How does the 2023 BMW 530e-Series Hybrid drive?
It drives very much like a regular BMW 530i. The 530e was able to go 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds. This is a great result for such a large sedan and about half a second faster than the standard 530i.
The M Sport brakes and performance tires on our test car were upgraded. This was a remarkable result for a luxury sedan of this size. The steering is well-weighted and complements the car’s balanced and communicative handling. Since the engine, electric motor, and eight-speed automatic transmission work well, the 530e is responsive and smooth in all modes.
How comfortable is the 5 Series Hybrid?
The 2023 BMW 530e-Series Hybrid is highly comfortable, especially with the multi-contour front seats, which provide heat, ventilation, and massage. The ride quality is also impressive.
The ride quality is excellent. It’s soft and comfortable, but not too much so that the 530e bobs around on bumpy roads. The optional M Sport package was added to our test vehicle with high-performance tires. There was slight road-noise but no wind noise and the engine was barely audible while cruising.
While the climate control system can manage cabin temperature in moderate climates, it struggles to keep us cool when it is really hot out. The fan speed does not automatically adjust when the automatic setting is used. This is a strange feature of BMW systems.
