Its façade will be sleeker, with slimmer headlights and a full-width rear taillamp assembly, as is evident.
The current 1.5- and 2.0-liter gasoline turbocharged engines will probably also be offered in the next model.
The first engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a continuously variable automatic gearbox (CVT), producing 192 horsepower and the same amount of torque.
Most Accords have it under the hood, but there is a beefier alternative: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.
The Sport and EX-L trim levels of the Accord will be in between those. In order to keep things simple, hybrid vehicles will also preserve that trim order.
There is the Accord Hybrid, which combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors to provide 212 horsepower overall and a net 47 mpg on the EPA's combined cycle.
